The advantages of settling along the Indus River would have been that they have access to irrigation for farming, transporting goods, and have access to drinkable water. The Disadvantages of settling more inland of Indus River would have been lack of access to water which played a very vital role during this time, and as well as transporting goods was more of a struggle.
