Addicts attempting to give narcotics often face a difficult task, if you were a drug counselor/therapist, what are some things you would recommend to help that person get clean?

if they are extremely addicted, then knowing that taking it all away immediately could send them into a big (or even bigger) depressiob spiral. i would limit their use, toning it down after time till they are down to extreme microdosages then cut them off.
