Explain why a politician might want certain groups of Americans (African Americans, women, Hispanic, etc) not voting in elections.

It can be for several reasons, women and POC have a LARGE affect on politics now a days. If a politician were to be racist or might not want anything to do with women, then those classes or group of people will not vote for them, and if there is an opponent who supports what they do not, it is a great chance that they will be losing some kind of election which is not good for them.

in real life countries impose taxes, quotas, etc which is not so good for the economies.

this kind of commercial war between the usa and china is slowing down the growth of the whole world so we can say that it is a draw back of trade regulations. and the free trade agreements are benefits of trade regulations.
