Providing rights to people accused of crimes is something that many countries do not offer to their citizens. Why do you think this is so important in the United States? Which right do you think is the most important offered to people accused of a crime? Why? The answer is: I feel the right to a fair trial; due process; to seek redress or a legal remedy; and rights of participation in civil society and politics such as freedom of association, the right to assemble, the right to petition, the right of self-defense, and the right to vote because when someone is accused of a crime they should have options to defend themselves in the court of law.
