Now that you have practiced analogies, take it a step further. Compare the spread of religion in this unit to a recipe for a cake. You will need to research how a cake is made and the purpose of each ingredient. Decide which ingredients were necessary to spread the religion in order for it to become dominant.

Analogize the ingredients of a cake to the components required to successfully spread a religious tradition far and wide. Create your own recipe that includes ingredients and units of measure.

Consider the following, and add any other ingredients you think are necessary in making your cake. Your answer should have a minimum of five ingredients.

missionaries
places of worship
holy texts
trade and/or trade routes
