Pretty much only wealthy plantation owners in the south with slaves could be educated, while in New England, young boys could be sent to learn a trade, such as printing or shipbuilding, and learn to read in the process, and girls could learn housework and still learn to be literate.

In the south, poor farmers usually just stayed as poor farmers, without an education.

yes i think they were better educated in the new engalnd because the education in the new england colonies was much more religious in nature than in the other colonies.  the puritan influence was strongest there, and one of the primary goals was to teach children (who are inherently bad) how to behave as moral, christian adults.  

    racial conflict and discrimination has existed ever since man learned to kill with rocks and bones. these conflicts arose from disputes between territory, power, wealth, religion, or simple difference. some of the most infamous racial disputes include slavery, the holocaust, and the civil rights movement.

    these listed disputes often resulted in casualties from all sides. riots, wars, imprisonment, and lynching are all commonly associated with racial conflict on severe levels.

      however, racism is an improving issue in recent decades. people are being more accepting and welcoming of diverse populations. though, the world isn't perfect and it will take much more time, if ever, until the world is rid of racism.
