Electricity- a form of energy resulting from the existence of charged particles (such as electrons or protons), either statically as an accumulation of charge or dynamically as a current.

Circuit-A circuit is a closed loop that electrons can travel in. A source of electricity, such as a battery, provides electrical energy in the circuit.

conductor-a material or device that conducts or transmits heat, electricity, or sound, especially when regarded in terms of its capacity to do this.

Insulator- a material in which the electron does not flow freely or the atom of the insulator have tightly bound electrons whose internal electric charges do not flow freely; very little electric current will flow through it under the influence of an electric field.

Volts-the electric potential between two points of a conducting wire when an electric current of one ampere dissipates one watt of power between those points.

Resistor-a passive two-terminal electrical component that implements electrical resistance as a circuit element.

Potentiometer-a three-terminal resistor with a sliding or rotating contact that forms an adjustable voltage divider.

Series circuit-consists of a single pathway through which electricity can flow. All of the parts of a series circuit—power source, wires, and devices—are connected along the same pathway; the devices are connected one after another, with no branches. Current moves through one device, then the next, and so on.

Parallel circuit-all components are connected across each other, forming exactly two sets of electrically common points

Capacitor-a device that stores electrical energy in an electric field.

Transistor -a semiconductor device used to amplify or switch electronic signals and electrical power.
