When an athlete uses sport equipment she bought, who has the legal duty to inspect that equipment?

When an athlete uses sport equipment she bought THE COACH has the legal duty to inspect that equipment.
Basically, the coach has the legal duty for the OVERALL training safety of the athletes such as the correct form in using the equipment, the amount of time the athlete should spend in training, etc. 

It could be anything, recent improvements in technology/telecommunication/internet have increased the pace of globalization.generally, it has something to do with technology. globalization means that people around the world are brought together through technology which speeds things up. so maybe some of those options could be correct. : )
