A republic is usually governed by many people, including a president and some sort of legislature, like Congress in the United States. In a republic, there are elections and multiple branches of government. A monarchy is ruled by a king or queen who takes power by being descendants of the previous monarch. There are usually no elections in a monarchy. In a detailed paragraph, answer the following question:

Will your civilization be a republic or monarchy? Explain in detail by stating at least two reasons why you have made this choice.
