1. Look at Resource 14. The first map shows surface temperature across the United States. The contours show regions that have the same temperature range. These contour lines are similar to the contour lines on a topographic map. However, these contour lines represent temperature, not elevation.
2. Which two states shown in Resource 14 have the largest number of different surface temperatures (have the most different colors)?
