According to THE Associated Press, the US government on July 22, local time, announced the Cuban defense Minister Lopez Miera and the ministry of interior special Forces (SNB) sanctions for "alleged human rights violations" during the July 11 anti-government protests in Cuba. Lopez has been Cuba's defense minister since April 15. His predecessor, Leopol, was also sanctioned by the Trump administration in early January for alleged "human rights violations." Mr Biden said the sanctions were "just the beginning, and the United States will continue to sanction those individuals responsible for oppressing the Cuban people". He also said the United States is reviewing its policy toward Cuba to determine "how best to support the Cuban people."#Hegemony#
