PLEASE HELP! A business can choose many different courses of action, but choosing one direction precludes another. For instance, buying a McDonald’s franchise costs about $1,000,000. That considerable investment has an opportunity cost. The money could have been used to do something else, perhaps open up another fast food restaurant, start an entirely different business, invest it in the stock market, or even place it in the bank, where it would earn interest each month. A good economist is concerned about how the $1,000,000 could have been spent and what it would have earned if it had not been spent to buy the McDonald’s franchise.

What would your opportunity costs be if you opened a franchise?

Chris, a master at office gossip and innuendo, says, "we know we have a corporate spy someplace in the organization, probably on the management team itself. there is no evidence that it is audrey. in fact, she's too clean, if you know what i mean. somebody should fire audrey; she's got to be the spy." by making this argument chris is actually engaging in (a) an appeal to emotion fallacy (b) a straw man fallacy (c) an appeal to ignorance fallacy (d) circular reasoning (e) an appeal to the mob fallacy

As you drive in to school, you hear a random radio-show caller arguing that sun exposure really has not been shown to cause skin cancer and that some research suggests that skin cancer is completely genetic and not related to sun exposure at all. at the time, you think that this is a silly argument and that the caller does not know what she is talking about. however, two months later, you are outside without wearing sunscreen, and you find yourself remembering that you had read something about how the sun actually does not cause skin cancer. this process is evidence that has influenced your attitude
