Open Notes Allowed: Students are encourage to use their completed SOAPStone handouts form lesson 3.2 The Land Bridge Debate and their Lesson 3: Cornell Notes. Essay Question: Write a two paragraph essay. In paragraph one, summarize the land bridge theory (one main idea and at least three supporting details). In paragraph two, explain whether you think the land bridge theory is a credible (believable) theory. Justify your opinion with at least three points made from your research. Quote or cite evidence from the articles. Remember to put it in your own words, or use quotation marks and tell me where you got it (Newsweek or VOA News). Also, if you use any information other than the two articles for the SOAPStone, you will need to paste the web address.

Paragraph 2 - 20 points

Clearly stated opinion - 6 pts

Supporting Evidence/Reasons - 12 pts/ 4 pts each
