Briefly describe two of the main benefits of volunteering in a political campaign

Volunteering in a political campaign has many benefits, specially if you are in college or beginning your professional career. Here are the two main benefits of participating in a political campaign as a volunteer:

1. You get to know better the candidate. Maybe you are interested in one of the candidates of a specific campaign.  By volunteering for their team, you will be able to get to know how that candidate works day to day, what does his/her team believes in and works for, and even get to know more personally the candidate.

2. You get to establish contacts. Networking is an essential part of any professional career, and in politics it is the main point in which people grow within their jobs. By volunteering for a candidate, you will get to meet and impress through your work many people, some of them with high positions within the government, that if you would not volunteer you most probably would not be able to reach so easily.
