They were written in style that was not clear (as for example Freud was). Jung did not write for the general public. 

There are quite a few reasons why Carl Jung's bulk of theory in the field of psychology has not been received enthusiastically by psychologists despite the significant contribution. One of the major reasons is the fact that it is difficult to understand the Jungian concepts because his books contain tons of inconsistencies and contradictions.
