What inspired people to build the seven wonders of the world?

Well, at the time those people in history didn’t know they were building a ‘‘wonder of the world‘‘, for the future. In our society I believe we had have a hard time realizing that advanced civilization has been around much longer and much is more complex than we ultimately think. The Great Wall of china, Christ redeemer staute, Machu Picchu, Chichen Itza, Roman colosseum, Taj Majal, and lastly, Petra, are all just things people in those time periods & and in those parts of the made for their culture and beliefs.
