The exploring technique is used when a patient tries to glance over particular details that might seem superficial but in fact they are not. Exploring the subject can help the nurses and the doctors get to the core of issue and see it more clearly. It is important to note that the patients wishes must be respected and if he does not want to disclose some information that is of personal nature but not of medical relevance, that must be respected.
