The Monroe Doctrine stated that the United States would not get involved in European wars or internal affairs of the European countries. The Monroe Doctrine was passed on 2nd December in the year 1823. This Doctrine also stated that the European powers would never interfere with the internal affairs of the newly independent nations of the Americas. On the other hand the United States would stay away from any conflicts between the European powers and their colonies. There was a clause in the Doctrine that stated, if the wars between the European countries and their colonies took place within the boundaries of America, then United States would consider that as a hostile action and take action as needed.
