Why are so many countries concerned about the growing globalization of the media?

Growing globalization of media would most likely contribute to the diminishing traditional value that each countries have.
On top of that, the number of media that arise due to this process provide a lot of information that may presented with different agenda/perspective, making it really hard for consumers to determine which information is correct and which isn't.
