The family food â  much has been talked about that a family meal is a cultural issue, common in latin cultures. but there is another important part of family meals that have not been studied deeply, and is the impact created in child’s and teen agers that participate in this family meals. in a publication from the california child health program, the kids that eat in a family environment have a better opportunity to a healthy nutrition. they also assure that the family meals improve the child’s social relationships, the emotional health and the learning process. as if that is not enough, the kids that eat in a family environment have less risks in show risk behaviors, in other words they are less probable to be related to gangs or dangerous influences, such as alcohol or drugs consumptions. an important part of this time in family, is to stablish basic rules, such as, the television is not compatible with this period of family time. the same way, everything that could distract from the interpersonal relationship should be not allowed for this period of time: the phones, magazines, video game devices, headphones. this instruments interrupt the harmony of the family relationships. if you desire that your child’s have more probabilities for a healthy growth up and healthy in all other aspects, start to eat in a family environment. the purpose of this article is to highlight….. â  the importance of the family meal environment and its effects in kids, child’s and teenagers. la importancia de la comida familiar en los niã±os y jovenes
