write how roberta would say where she is from and her nationality in a complete sentence in spanish. (e. g., i am from honduras and i am honduran.)

write how pablo would say where he is from and his nationality in a complete sentence in spanish. (e. g., i am from mexico and i am mexican.)

Roberta should say:  Yo soy de Honduras, yo soy hondureña

Pablo should say:  Yo soy de México, yo soy mexicano.

Explanation:

When somebody wants to say in Spanish her or his nationality or where she or he is coming from, the following strutures are used:

1) I am Honduran : Personal pronuon + verb to be conjugated + nationality

In Spanish capital letter is not required for nationality, but it is important to match gender and number between personal pronuon, verb and nationality.

For example: I am Honduran = Yo soy hondureña, nationality is femenine and singular because it is an adjective used for Roberta (femenine name and singular person).  This is the same explantion for Pablo when he says I am Mexican = Yo soy mexicano (nationality is masculine and singular, because Pablo is masculine and singular)

If we would like to say We are Hondurans, the structure is the same (personal pronoun + verb + nationality) we just change gender and number in the sentence:  Nosotros somos hondureños (plural and masculine pronoun, verb and adjective).

2) I am from Honduras or I am from Mexico: Personal pronoun + verb to be conjugated +from+ name of the country.   The meaning of "From" in Spanish is "de".

So I am from Honduras is Yo soy de Honduras or I am from Mexico is Yo soy de México. Capital letters for the name of the countries are required.

It is important to highlight: in Spanish we need to use the form of verb to be : SER, because in both cases (Yo soy hondureña o Yo soy de Honduras) we are describing where the person is coming from or where the person was born.  We don´t use ESTAR (the other meaning for verb to be) because it is used for locations or temporary situations, your nationality or the place where you were born it is never temporary.
