A big part of who we are comes from our families. In this assignment, you will introduce your family to your teacher. Write a
short description in Spanish for 5 different members of your family. Be sure to include at least 3 characteristics or information
items about each person.
You can describe members of your family with sentences like this:
- Mi madre se llama Jenny. Ella es la hija de Rafael y Sonia. Ella es de Florida. Es alta y morena.
- Mi abuelo se llama Rafael. Rafael es el padre de mi madre. Él es de Panamá. Es inteligente y simpático.
To talk about what someone likes or doesn't like, use these phrases:
Le gusta... (he or she likes...)
No le gusta... (he or she doesn't like...)

Mi madre se llama Rena. Ella tiene 47 años. En mi opinión, mi madre es muy solidaria y cariñosa. Ella está muy orientada a la familia. Sin embargo, tenemos una relación débil. Le encanta la fotografía pero no le gusta leer.

Mi padre se llama Cavin y tiene 53 años. Nos llevamos bien. Siempre es a quien acudir cuando surgen problemas. A mi papá le gusta coleccionar sombreros ingeniosos, tiene una gran colección. Por otro lado, la ciencia le resulta aburrida.

Tengo tres hermanos: Baron, que tiene 14 años, Sterlin, que tiene 27 y Lyron, que tiene 20. No estoy muy cerca de ninguno de mis hermanos, excepto Baron, porque son mayores que yo.

Baron es mi hermano menor. Es simpático, amable y muy humorístico, pero bastante desorganizado. A diferencia de mi madre, a Byron le encanta leer, especialmente las historias de detectives. Él tiene toneladas de ellos en su habitación. Lo único que odia es la música country.

Sterlin es mi hermano mayor. Raramente lo visito, porque vive lejos. Tiene un hijo llamado Amos, que tiene tres años. A Sterlin le gusta tocar el saxofón y ha tenido muchos conciertos. Charlie Parker es su ídolo. Él tiene un conejito blanco y negro, Cory, pero realmente no le gustan los conejitos. Amos sí lo hace.

Lyron, mi otro hermano mayor tiene 20 años. Tiene una hija llamada Bonnie, nació hace solo unas semanas. Ella es muy linda. Lyron ama a los perros y tiene dos perros esquimales: Flanagan y Trudi. Sin embargo, desprecia la música rap y las novelas románticas.

TRANSLATION:

My mother's name is Rena. She is 47 years old. In my opinion, my mum is very supportive and caring. She is very family-oriented. However, we have a weak relationship. She loves photography but doesn't like reading.

My father's name is Cavin and he is 53. We get on well. He's always the one to go to when problems arise. My dad likes collecting nifty hats - he has a big collection. On the other side, he finds science boring.

I have three brothers: Baron who is 14, Sterlin who is 27 and Lyron who is 20. I'm not very close to any of my brothers, except for Baron, because they are older than me.  

Baron is my younger brother. He's likeable, friendly and very humorous, but quite disorganised. Unlike my mum, Byron loves reading, especially detective stories. He has tons of them in his bedroom. The one thing he hates, is country music.

Sterlin is my older brother. I rarely visit him, because he lives far away. He has a son called Amos, who's three. Sterlin likes playing the saxophone and has had many concerts. Charlie Parker is his idol. He has a black and white bunny, Cory, but he doesn't really like bunnies. Amos does though.

Lyron, my other older brother is 20. He has a daughter called Bonnie, was born only a few weeks ago. She is very cute. Lyron loves dogs and has two huskies: Flanagan and Trudi. However, he despises rap music and romance novels.
