What is different about the letter c and g in Spanish?

The letter c in spanish has about 3 different pronunciations.

The letter g in spanish is more-so silent.

There is quite a difference between c and g, the first one is pronounced as a k or as a z sometimes, whereas the second one can be pronounced as a fast ko or as a forced sound coming from the back of your thorat.
