Use the imperfect to express yourself while telling your children what you used to be like (description), what you used to do (play with, watch, go to, other activities), what you used to like, and what you used to have (pets, collections, etc.). Do not use a translator.

Do not start with English. Start with your vocabulary list and think of things that you can say in Spanish.

Queridos hijos, cuando you era niña (niño, depending on gender) yo era muy seria. no me reía de nada siempre estaba tratando de tener mi grado a 100%. mi gustaba jugar con my computadora, yo jugaba al voleibol, tenis y fútbol. tenía 4 mascotas 2 perros, 1 gato y un conejillo de indias. me gustaba lear y dibujar. eso es lo que yo hacía cuando era una niña (niño).
