What is the best way to revise? I need to revise these:

D’abord = first(ly)
Ensuite = Then, next
à sept heures = at 7 o'clock
puis = then
hier = yesterday
d’habitude = usually
j’ai écouté = I have listened
j’ai regardé = I have watched
j’ai envoyé = I have sent
j’ai joué = I have played

It depends on what works best for you, but things which have helped me with French are:

1. Making flashcards, online, or in real life (Quizlet is great for online ones)

2. Look, cover, write, check - basic but it's good for a small amount of things you want to memorise/revise

3. Reading it many times, the term and then the translation, and then getting someone to test you.

Explanation:

1. For the first method, this has worked great, as no one needs to test you, and, especially on Quizlet, it automatically provides the translation after you write the English on one side of the 'card'.

2. This is quite self-explanatory, but all you need to do is read the term aloud, cover it and then write it without looking, before checking to make your that you're right.

3. This is a good method if you want to learn the terms over a longer period of time - do this through a few times every day until your test (if you're having one and the terms should stick.

Piece of advice - make sure that you understand what these all mean in terms of grammar! As you probably know, é at the end of regular er verbs in French makes it past tense and so you can apply this for any regular er verb, by removing the er at the end and adding  é.
