Write three sentences in Latin about your own schooling.
NOTE: Your sentences should be very short and use only vocab and grammar you have learned so far. Grammar and sentence structure are very important when writing in Latin. Be careful as you decline your nouns and conjugate your verbs β endings are everything. Here are some useful nouns and verbs you may want to use to create your sentences:
NOUNS:
book β liber, libri
boy β puer, pueri
friend β amica, amicae OR amicus, amici
house β casa, casae
Latin β Latina, Latinae
girl β puella, puellae
school β ludus, ludi
street β via, viae
student β discipulus, discipuli
teacher β magistra, magistrate OR magister, magistri
VERBS:
give β do, dare, dedi, datus
have β habeo, habere, habui, habitus
love β amo, amare, amavi, amatus
see β video, videre, vidi, visus
teach β doceo, docere, docui, doctus
walk β ambulo, ambulare, ambulavi, ambulatus
Here are some hints to help you in writing your Latin sentences:
1. Keep your sentences simple (e. g. "I walk to school").
2. Review first-person personal verb endings in the verb section of the course appendix. Depending on the tense, the first-person singular verb ending is either -o, -m, or -i.
