I have witnessed and listened to deaf people's stories of their experiences,  change situations, and quests for voice. The deaf community has battled with stereotypes,  oppression, and discrimination among other people.

The deaf leader maintains knowledge and skills in utilizing  interpreters effectively and strategically. Positioning strategies encompass a multitude of  skills that an interpreter and the deaf leader utilize as tools with the goal of maintaining  the deaf leader’s voice and presence.
