The yellow wallpaper is considered one of the significant early feminist literature in America. This story depicts the attitudes towards womens' health (physical as well as mental) in the 19th century and shed light on patriarchal society oppression towards women.This short story is collection of journals written in first person narratives in present tense  with frequent mention of events and conversation in past tense.
