Can Someone Explain This? Using images from magazines or the Internet, create a collage that illustrates the many ways in which technology is changing the design industry. You have had some of the ways in which the industry has changed spelled out for you in the content of this unit, but feel free to go beyond what is discussed here. Are there new, innovative kinds of fabric that were not discussed? Are there other ways in which new media promote and display fashion? Find ways to visually represent not only the material required for production, but also how ideas about design are spread throughout society and the impact this has on the sales and marketing aspects of the industry. You can compose your collage on the computer or on a piece of poster board using images that you have collected. If you use poster board, be prepared to take a picture of it to show to your instructor.
