When cells perform photosynthesis, they transform energy from one form to another, what takes place during photosynthesis?

During photosynthesis, solar/light energy from the sun is transformed into C6H12O6, or glucose (chemical energy). Photosynthesis is defined as the process by which green plants and some other organisms use sunlight to synthesize foods (glucose) from carbon dioxide (CO2) and water (H20). Photosynthesis in plants generally involves the green pigment chlorophyll and generates oxygen (O2) and glucose.

lipids: (fats, oils, and waxes) are made of carbon and hydrogen atoms.

nucleic acids: contain hydrogen, oxygen, nitrogen, carbon, and phosphorus. they are polymers of nucleotides. a nucleotide has three parts, a 5-carbon sugar, a phosphate     (-po⬇️4) group, and a nitrogenous base.

proteins: made up of nitrogen, carbon, hydrogen, and oxygen. they are polymers of amino acids.
