Explanation:

The food that we eat is the fuel to our body. But this food has to converted into energy. This conversion of food  into energy is carried out by mitochondria through a process called Cellular respiration. The food we consume is first broken down into smaller particles.the glucose in the food we eat undergoes several chemical reaction to produce ATP (adenosine triphosphate).This ATP is the form of chemical energy that is utilised by the cell for performing various actions walking , running etc.
