The water won't move if xylem was present only in root and stem of plants.

The xylem is the vascular tissue of the plant that is continuously present from the roots of the plants to the leaves of the plants. These tissues carry the water and mineral salts from the roots to the leaves.

But if the xylem was confined within the roots and stems of the plants, then the water would come upto the stem of plant, but they won't have any tissue that will carry the water from the stem to the leaves. So this will make the plants water deficient. This will kill the plants.

the "power" of a lens is its resolution power, or its ability to distinguish between to closely located points. with the low power lens, it is likely you will see the rough form of the hay and maybe some movement of dots around the hay. however, when observed with the high power lens, the detailed features of the hay become visible and the microbes being grown are more clearly visible.
