The O3 layer, (Ozone Layer) leads a greatly significant role in sustaining life on Earth. It acts as a barrier against the harmful UV rays from the Sun. The Ozone and Oxygen molecules are able to absorb a staggering 95% to 99.9% of the ultraviolet radiation travelling to our planet. When this ultraviolet radiation is absorbed, heat is generated.

The ozone layer helps regulate the Earth’s temperature by absorbing a large percentage of the UV radiation entering the atmosphere. This protects living organisms from exposure to large amounts of UV radiation, maintains livable climates, and regulates the amount of harmful ground-level ozone.
