Biotechnology is the exploitation of biological processes for industrial and other purposes, especially the genetic manipulation of microorganisms for the production of antibiotics, hormones, and stuff.

artificial selection is humans selecting two different species or breeds and making them... you know... and then a new combination is born! Usually is used for agricultural purposes, like new and better cows, or for scientific purposes like the Liger. 

A Clone is a being with the same exact DNA structure of the previous Being, and they are usually created with a single mother.

When a virus infects a host cell, it uses the cell's machinery to make copies of its own genetic material in a process called replication. finally, during the process of self-assembly, that protein shell and the copies of the virus's genetic material are assembled into new viruses.
