Atherosclerosis is a condition where hardening and narrowing of arteries take place that causes risk of heart attack. Dietary trans fat plays an important role in the development of this disease. With the gradual increase in the amount of cholesterol and cells develop plaque in the artery that hinders the blood flow through the artery.
