Resume is defined as the details given after a pause or interruption. So in the world of colleges and job markets, resumes are written or updated after reaching a certain level, in order to give details for the next level. It can be understood by taking an example. When you are in a college, and you have completed your four years of degree and you want to get admission in the next university level, then you make a resume in which all your studies, projects, tasks, assignments, etc are written to have a better chance of getting the admission. So you have completed your one level, you are at a pause now, you are writing your resume, and then you will continue your further studies. Whereas in job resume, you will write down all of your studies plus the experiences you got in your career. Suppose you want to change your job, now you are at a pause, and writing your resume for further proceeding in your career.
