At what chemical shift does the aldehyde H appear (in the 1H NMR of furfural)? Do you see disappearance of this peak in the 1H NMR of furoin? b) (1 point) The peaks corresponding to the Hs on the furan ring appear at chemical shifts (~7-8 ppm) that are typical for benzene Hs. Is this expected? Why/why not? c) (1 point) What resonances do you see in the 1H NMR of furoin that are not in the 1H NMR of furaldehyde? What (i. e. which Hs) can these peaks be attributed to? 3) (

Ican determine the molar mass of an element by looking on the under the atomic mass for the element. for example the molar mass of phosphorus is 30.974 grams/mole. avogadro’s number tells me the amount of representative particles in 1 mole of any substance. this means 12.011 gram sample of carbon and a 32.0 gram sample of sulfur have the same number of atoms.
