Vehicles begin to arrive at a parking lot at 8:10 am at a constant rate of 6 veh/min until 8:25 am. There is no arrival from 8:25 am to 8:30 am. The flow rate after 8:30 am is 3 veh/min. The parking lot opens at 8:00 A. M. and vehicles can be processed at a constant rate of 1 vehicle every 15 seconds. Assuming deterministic (D/D/1) queuing, answer the following questions and show your results graphically: a. when does the queue clear?
b. what is the longest queue and when does this occur?
c. what is the queue at 8:30 A. M.? [d. (3 points)] what is the maximum delay?
d. what is the average delay per vehicle from 8:00 am until the queue clears?

Amass of m 1.5 kg of steam is contained in a closed rigid container. initially the pressure and temperature of the steam are: p 1.5 mpa and t 240°c (superheated state), respectively. then the temperature drops to t2= 100°c as the result of heat transfer to the surroundings. determine: a) quality of the steam at the end of the process, b) heat transfer with the surroundings. for: p1.5 mpa and t 240°c: enthalpy of superheated vapour is 2900 kj/kg, specific volume of superheated vapour is 0. 1483 m/kg, while for t 100°c: enthalpy of saturated liquid water is 419kj/kg, specific volume of saturated liquid water is 0.001043m/kg, enthalpy of saturated vapour is 2676 kj/kg, specific volume of saturated vapour is 1.672 m/kg and pressure is 0.1 mpa.
