The differences between newsreels and Tv newscasts are many. The most evident difference is that newsreels were projected on cinemas or theaters. Unlike newscasts which you can see on the TV or on the internet. The other remarkable difference is that newsreels took many days of broadcasting and editing to produce. Whereas newscasts aren't edited because they are usually in live and it takes less time and effort to produce them.

On the other hand, the similarities are that both newsreels and newscasts have informative purposes. They both try to inform society about what is going on around the world, in their countries and cities. Moreover, both need specific equipment and technology to be filmed and produced.
