It was only after i stopped wishing for tom to come back
home that i realized how much better off i was without
him. i think that when you're in the middle of a situation
and it's all you see in front of you each day, it's hard to
picture any other possibility. i'd been telling myself that this
life was just fine because i thought i was stuck with it and
had no other choice.
what is most likely the purpose of the passage?
o
a. to show that holding on to the past can give one cherished
memories
o
b. to show that a narrow perspective can keep us from reaching our
potential
o
c. to illustrate that some people are only meant to be in our lives for
a short time
o
d. to teach that we only hurt ourselves by holding on to hate
