She hated her brother because she had an agreement with him on selling their story but he does it without her knowledge.

Also people liked to portray her as a coward and made it seem like her brother was the brave one. Meanwhile in reality, she was the brave one that had to take care of him.

She hated her father because he was not kind. He loved to drink and he was always interested in watching a bull fight.

The Lawyer:

Gretel hated the lawyer because they put her under a spell and made her sign a different contract where she only gets little money.
