A solar eclipse happens when the moon passes between the Sun and the Earth. This causes the Sun to be partially or totally covered. Looking at a solar eclipse can be a great experience but can cause eye damage if viewed directly. One way to see a solar eclipse is by making a pinhole viewer. First, get two pieces of cardboard. Second, with a pin, poke a hole in one of the two pieces of cardboard. The hole should be no bigger than the size of the pin. Next, take both pieces of cardboard and stand up with the sun sland at your back. Then, put the cardboard piece with the pinhole in one hand and place the other piece of cardboard behind it. Finally, adjust the distance between the two cardboard pieces.
