Remember that in your article, you should not do either, but rather start with a fact or statistic on your topic. Try writing a few different hooks. Post the best introduction to your invention paper in the 2.06 Attention Please Discussion. Then, complete one of the following:

Reply to at least two posts from other classmates, giving them feedback on the success of their hook.
Interview a family member, pastor, or teacher asking them about how they would write a hook for your paper. Give a detailed overview of your conversation (at least 200 words), state who you interviewed and what your relationship is to that person.
Your grade will be determined by a complete post and impacted by your mechanics (proper spelling, grammar, sentence structure) and cordial netiquette.
