why do bod and scarlett have different perspectives of birthdays in the graveyard book (if you dont know the answer dont answer this with "huh" or anything)

They both have different perspectives because they are both different Scarlett was not born with supernatural powers and Bod I'm not really sure if he had supernatural powers but Also Bod doesn't celebrate birthdays but Scarlett I'm guessing does.I hope this helps sorry if it doesn't I only had a little information on that book.I know you said don't answer if you don't know anything about the book but I knew a little about it again sorry if that did not help.
