(Help help)Twelfth Night: “They that dally nicely with words may quickly make them wanton." Act 3, Scene 1, lines 14-15. At the beginning of this scene, Feste and Viola agree that words are
ambiguous and, if used cleverly, may be very deceiving. How does this warning
apply today? Consider the clever or ambiguous use of words by politicians and
advertisers (in advertising, for example, "organic" and "natural" may be used and in
politics, consider the use of the words "free" and "democratic"). Write, in at least 5
sentences, an advertisement for a completely useless or unattractive product using
your own "dallying" words. Or, in the same number of sentences, write a short
speech using "dallying" words that appeal to the values and prejudices of a specific
audience.
