Moreover, it was done so that the blacks do not feel the need to rule or even try to get power over the minority white population.

The apartheid system was the racial segregation that was politically and racially done to keep the black people from the whites. This system of demarcation led to the 'isolation or discrimination of the majority blacks in the white minority ruled South Africa.

Apartheid in South Africa was done with one primary objective- to keep the black people from 'ruling' over the 'superior' white population. Despite being the majority, the system allowed whites to take advantage of and discriminate the blacks in all spheres, be it work or jobs, or even living conditions. The goals of this system were to completely segregate the two races from each other, and then further divide the blacks within themselves based on their tribal races. This was done so that there comes no strong political power to fight against the whites. Moreover, it was done so that the whites will remain in power over the black majority nation of South Africa. And so it was that this system 'ruled' over the blacks for more than four decades.
