In a first-person view, the reader doesn’t expect certain things to happen until they actually do, making the story more interesting, and thrilling. However a third-person limited point of view, covers both bases and provides the best of both worlds. The thoughts and feelings of one of the characters are made known, letting the reader build a relationship with one of the characters. Also the benefits of third-person are also evident, letting the reader know what is going on in the rest of the story. We think that is why the author chooses to use a third-person limited viewpoint for this story. It is the best of both worlds.
