Friday

All of this was very unexpected and unforgettable!! I can never forget this day.

I was shocked to know that my best friend , Jessica, was avoiding me. I saw her with all my other friends yesterday. They saw me and quickly changed the subject. All of them suddenly started talking about homework and their pending work. They were definitely not talking about that before they saw me.

Then again in lunch I saw them talking. Jessica was with them too. She refused to sit with me in cafeteria!! I was very surprised by her reaction. I didn't know how to react so I just went and sat on the same table where we used to sit. I sat there all alone and heart-broken. I was hurt and I couldn't find her comforting me with her kind words. Maybe she found all my other friends interesting. It wasn't her fault. Someone like her deserved very cool and interesting friends and not very boring friends like me.

But I couldn't take it anymore. Even today, almost everyone was avoiding me. Everytime they saw me , they stopped whatever they were doing and walked away. I was trying my hardest to control it but too late tears were already rolling down from my eyes. I never felt so isolated before and the fact that Jessica was involved in this made it worse.

I didn't want anyone to see me crying so I went into girl's washroom and locked myself in one of the stalls. I pinched myself to wake myself up from this terrible nightmare. I tried convincing myself but I couldn't. All the memories that we had together came rushing towards me. I wanted my Jessica back. I was missing her.

But I had to be strong so I got up. Washed my face and opened the door and everyone screamed " HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!! " and by everyone I meant all my friends and Jessica. Suddenly all of this made sense.

Jessica handed me her gift and told me that they were planning for this since last day. I hugged her. The feeling when I had her back was magical and the fact that I forgot my birthday was embarrassing. I can never forget this day. This was the best birthday of my life.
