We will study latitude and longitude in more detail in a later lab. for now, just remember that lines of latitude are parallel to the equator (0o) and that they measure distance north and south of the equator. follow a line around a globe or world map and the distribution chart included in this packet at the latitudes listed below and estimate what percentage of the earth’s surface is ocean at each latitude.
