What is the unit of time

The unit of time is second.

The certain standard quantity which is used for the measurement of an unknown quantity is called unit of that quantity.

There are two types of unit.they are:

Fundamental units are those units which are not dependent upon other units.For eg: metre, second, kilogram.

Derived units are those units which are dependent upon other quantities.For example: Cubic metre,Newton, Pascal etc.

Time

The duration between any two events is called time.The SI unit of time is second.
